Great place to camp.
Holy Ground is a wonderful large day park (no camping). Open April 1st through Labor Day with a great boat ramp area that is open year long 24 hrs a day. Overlook area offers history of this area (see website) & is high up overlooking the Alabama river. Offers a terrific covered area that is great for weddings, restrooms, tables & grills, basketball court, large pavilion, nature trail through woods to ramp area. Lower park area is huge and offers a maintained & buoyed off beach area for swimming on the creek, tables, grills, bathhouse with showers, 2 pavilions for rental, fishing dock on larger part of creek, birding area with tables & grills, nature path from beach around to river into bird area. Possibilities are endless hiking, biking, fishing, boating, swimming, family reunions, birthdays. Much to see & do here.
